Deposit and excess explained

Updated on September 14, 2026

No deposit*

*For customers domiciled in Switzerland. All other customers leave the vehicle’s deposit at the counter, in cash or by Twint.

The deposit is a sum you leave with us: its amount is shown on each vehicle's page, it is handed over at the counter at pick-up, and it comes back to you on return if everything is in order. The excess is a separate amount, also shown on each vehicle's page.

If damage is found on return, the report and the photos go into your file and the amount is invoiced to you on a separate document. What remains owed is set by the terms and conditions (art. 11).
